Adding Pictures to a Scoop

Once you have created a scoop, you can add one or more pictures to describe the given issue directly. You show others directly what you see instead of using a lot of words that lead to confusion and errors. You communicate clearly from the filed to the back office and vice-versa.
On Scoop Mobile App: adding pictures to a scoop
The following instructions apply to these mobile devices: iPhone, Android, Blackberry
You can add a picture using the onboard camera or by selecting an image file already stored on your handheld. In either case, start by locating and opening the desired scoop from the scoops page (accessible via bottom menu bar in the home page of the mobile app). This takes you to the given scoop’s overview tab. Here, open the pictures tab (identified by camera icon). Then follow the instructions below for each case:
To add a picture from camera:
You can add a picture using the onboard camera or by selecting an image file already stored on your handheld. In either case, start by locating and opening the desired scoop from the scoops page (accessible via bottom menu bar in the home page of the mobile app). This takes you to the given scoop’s overview tab. Here, open the pictures tab (identified by camera icon). Then follow the instructions below for each case:
To add a picture from camera:
- Inside the pictures page of the given scoop click on the camera snapshot button. This initiates the camera live view.
- Point the camera at the desired scene and use camera controls to take a picture. Wait while the image is processed (this may take a few seconds depending on image size).
- Once saved, Scoop provides a preview screen at which point you can accept the image by pressing the use button or request a re-take by pressing the retake button.
- If you accept the image, Scoop returns to the pictures tab of the given scoop and shows the newly captured image in the image gallery.
To add an existing picture from handheld memory card:
- After locating and opening the pictures tab of the desired scoop, click on the folder/select picture button (next to the camera snapshot button). This opens an image viewer whereby you can navigate to the desired folder on your handheld and select an image file.
- Once you select the image, the application returns to the pictures tab of the given scoop ticket and shows the new image in the image gallery.
On Scoop Web App: adding pictures to a scoop
If you are creating a new scoop then follow the instructions in the creating a new scoop section. If you want to add or edit the introduction for an existing scoop, log into the Scoop web app. You are taken to the home page. Here:
- Locate and open the desired scoop from the scoops list. This takes you to the given scoop’s overview tab.
- Click on the pictures tab (identified by large camera icon)
- In this page, click on add new picture and upload the picture you wish to add to the scoop from your computer.
